What is WAP?
WAP is short for Wireless Application Prorocol, a secure specification that allows users to access the internet via their mobile phone.

How do I STOP text alert or text premium services?
Simply reply STOP to all such future messages - the message sender is obliged to action such requests. Sending STOP ALL will cancel all services from a given supplier.

Can I divert calls if my mobile number is barred?
No. If your mobile number is barred, then both incoming and outgoing calls are stopped.

How do I divert my calls to another phone?
You can set diverts from the menu in your phone or check the user manual - Link to manual

How do I add the prefix +44 to every number in my phonebook?
Once you have saved numbers in your phonebook, you will not be able to prefix them all with +44 in one go, they will have to be done individually. It is best to enter the prefix +44 when you add numbers to your phone book.

How many MB's of data allowance will I use when I check my email?
Checking your email, such as hotmail, yahoo mail or Gmail will use about 0.1MB. This includes logging in , reading, composing basic emails. Emails with attachments will increase this figure.

Lots of websites use Flash media - can I see these on my phone with Mobile Internet?
This depends on the phone. If the phone can display the media it will show, otherwise you will see a message saying that the media can not be diplayed. Often now on phones the software can be downloaded to your phone to enable flash content.

Why, when I enter the same URL, do I get different web sites on my phone and PC?
The majority of companies now have two or more websites for different way of accessing the site. For example a PC and a PDA or phone. Content has been arranged to suit small screens and help you find what you need quickly and non-essential or data-heavy content has been removed or reduced. Also file formats that simply don't work on many phones, such as Flash animation, have been removed. The resulting mobile-friendly sites provide you with a much improved, faster and more reliable service. Where these services are available, the web site owners often either redirect mobile visitors automatically.
